Description
Lasco SPF-400 superplastic forming press for sale from a Connecticut aerospace titanium forming specialist. Superplastic forming (SPF) is used to produce complex, near-net-shape titanium aerospace structures — nacelle frames, access door inner structures, fuselage frames, and engine pylons — that cannot be economically formed by conventional methods. SPF uses controlled argon gas pressure at elevated temperature (1,650°F–1,700°F) to form titanium into complex die shapes with minimal springback. 400-ton press force, argon gas pressure system, heated die platen, full PLC control with temperature and pressure programming. Operated in an FAA-regulated facility for titanium SPF production. Includes original Lasco tooling documentation and process qualification records.
